Ian Laperriere's Fight Card

1. October 8th, 2005 vs. Brendan Morrow
Dallas Stars - 9:04 of the 1st Period
Comments: Lappy gets in some short punches and gets
Morrow's helmet off. Morrow then holds on as they dance
around with Lappy's helmet finally coming off. They're then in
very tight with few punches thrown. After the linesmen figure out
they aren't going to let go, they break it up.

2. October 21st, 2005 vs. Alexei Semenov
Edmonton Oilers - 11:36 of the 2nd Period
Comments: Laperriere gets hit by Semenov up along the boards
and that's all it takes. They throw the gloves off and get it on near
the faceoff circle. Semenov seems to be in better control of the
fight as he locks out the smaller Laperriere. Semenov tries throwing
quite a few jersey-punches, but they all come up short. Laperriere
finally tries to sneak in a few of his own, but Semenov's reach has
him locked out. The linesmen come in as they tire each other out.
Other Penalties: Semenov received an elbowing.

3. October 25th, 2005 vs. Jason Smith
Edmonton Oilers - 16:51 of the 2nd Period
Comments: Laperriere throws a hit on Smith as he clears the puck
out of his own zone. They drop the gloves at center as Laperriere
starts with three rights. Smith does a good job of blocking as they
come up short. They tie up as Laperriere throws another right that
comes up short. Smith throws inside with two quick right jabs then
unloads two big rights to the back of Laperriere's head that send
him down to the ice. Smith lands an uppercut as both fighters are on
their knees and the linesmen come in to break it up.

4. November 5th, 2005 vs. Steve Ott
Dallas Stars - 3:38 of the 2nd Period
Comments: They drop the gloves near the benches and quickly tie
up. Laperriere rips Ott's helmet off and lands 8-9 consecutive rights
as Ott is bent over trying to avoid punches. Ott comes back with a
left, but gets caught again with another flurry of rights by Laperriere.
They tie up and Ott struggles to get his right hand free until the
    linesmen come in.

5. November 21st, 2005 vs. Bryan Marchment
Calgary Flames - 4:54 of the 3rd Period
Comments: Antti Laaksonen crosses the blueline into the Flames'
zone and gets taken out by Marchment after a late whistle for
offsides. Laperriere is close by and skates right on over. The two
get the sticks up and drop the gloves while a linesman is trying to
intervene. They break away and just start pumping punches at one
another, Laperriere with the right, Marchment with the left. About
8-10 punches are tossed by each and then they start to wrestle.
Laperriere sneaks in a short left as they continue grappling for
position. They're against the boards now and each player tosses a
shot while they're tangled. They're in tight and each player tries to
use the other ones grip to make him spring forward while punching.
A couple of more punches land from each, Lappy with a couple of
rights, Mush with some lefts. The linesmen wait for them to grapple
and tire a bit more before moving in and breaking it up.

6. November 25th, 2005 vs. Aaron Johnson
Columbus Blue Jackets - 15:01 of the 2nd Period
Comments: They come together in the corner and drop the gloves.
They tie up before Laperriere gets loose and throws a flurry of about
four overhand rights that knock Johnson's helmet off. Laperriere
throws another overhand right as Johnson comes back with a right of
his own. Johnson grabs Laperriere's knee and tries to take him down,
but can't get him off-balance. Laperriere throws a couple of more
overhand rights before he takes Johnson to the ice, ending the fight.
Other Penalties: Johnson received a hooking.

7. December 18th, 2005 vs. Ryan Hollweg
New York Rangers - 00:37 of the 1st Period
Comments: They drop the gloves at the blueline and tie up.
Laperriere rips Hollweg's helmet off and throws five straight
unanswered rights. He grabs Hollweg's hair for a moment but quickly
lets go before they grapple for a bit. Hollweg throws a left before
Laperriere gets loose and misses with a big right. Hollweg misses with
a left as Laperriere throws two rights to the back of Hollweg's head.
Laperriere throws an overhand right before the two tie each other up
and struggle to get loose. Laperriere attempts a right that is blocked by
Hollweg before Laperriere gets loose and throws a few more rights.
They then hold on until the linesmen come in.

8. January 9th, 2006 vs. Dallas Drake
St. Louis Blues - 11:29 of the 3rd Period
Comments: They drop the gloves behind the play and wrestle around
in tight, yapping at each other before Laperriere throws a right to start
things off. They struggle to get free before Drake throws two lefts with
Laperriere landing a right that knocks Drake's helmet off. Laperriere
then throws a flurry of 9-10 rights with 4-5 landing as Drake throws
two lefts in response during the exchange. Drake throws another left as
the two wrestle around until the linesmen come in.

9. January 28th, 2006 vs. Bryan Allen
Vancouver Canucks - 4:00 of the 1st Period
Comments: They start shoving to the side of the Vancouver net before
dropping the gloves and grabbing on against the boards. They wrestle
along the glass as Allen lands three short rights. Laperriere tries to rip
Allen's helmet off as they continue to just hold on. Allen lands two more
short rights while he has Laperriere in a head lock. Laperriere gets free
and throws a left before he gets Allen turned around and up against the
glass. The linesmen come in shortly after.

10. January 28th, 2006 vs. Ryan Kesler
Vancouver Canucks - 2:25 of the 2nd Period
Comments: Kesler hits Laperriere hard against the boards, knocking
him to the ice. Laperriere returns to his feet and skates after Kesler,
who gives him an elbow to the side of the helmet. Laperriere then
challenges Kesler and they drop the gloves. They grab on as Kesler
throws three straight rights with one landing. Laperriere gets his right
going and lands four overhand rights, knocking Kesler's helmet off.
Laperriere lands four more hard rights as Kesler returns fire with two
of his own. Laperriere connects with a long right before the two tie up
and wrestle to get loose. Laperriere gets an arm free and lands two
rights and two uppercuts, stunning Kesler before the two fall to the ice.

11. March 4th, 2006 vs. Jason Arnott
Dallas Stars - 6:07 of the 1st Period
Comments: Arnott hits Marek Svatos hard into the boards and
Laperriere goes directly after Arnott and they drop the gloves. They
tie up, wrestle around in tight and Laperriere loses his balance and
pushes himself up with his hand. Laperriere misses with a short
uppercut as Arnott tries to pull him off-balance. Laperriere gets his
right arm free and misses with an overhand right while Arnott is bent
over. Arnott throws an inside uppercut and Laperriere fires back with
a right. Arnott attempts a locked-out right just before the linesmen
come in and end the fight. Other Penalties: Laperriere received a
      holding.

12. April 11th, 2006 vs. Shane Doan
Phoenix Coyotes - 10:37 of the 3rd Period
Comments: Doan crushes Alex Tanguay with an open-ice hit near
the side boards earlier. Later, Laperriere skates over and challenges
Doan. They drop the gloves and immediately tie up, each fighter
struggling to get an arm free. Laperriere takes Doan's helmet off just
before Doan gets an arm free and throws three rights and an uppercut
while the two skate into the glass. Doan throws a right cross and
Laperriere is able to pull his arm out of Doan's grasp, proceeding to
connect with four rights to the back of Doan's head. Laperriere throws
another right to the back of Doan's head with Laperriere's elbow pad
hitting Doan. They grapple some more and Doan throws a short right,
an uppercut, and a left before he throws Laperriere down to the ice.

13. May, 5th, 2006 (Playoffs) vs. Travis Moen
The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim - 20:00 of the 2nd Period
Comments: The horn sounds to end the second period and the two
drop the gloves and grab a hold of each other near the blue-line. They
wrestle around, each struggling to get an arm free. Finally, Laperriere
does and connects with a right to the back of Moen's head, knocking
his helmet off. Moen puts Laperriere's jersey into his face, but
Laperriere is able to tie up Moen's hand and land two short lefts.
The two grapple some more with Moen desperately trying to get an
arm free while the linesmen look to step in. Just as Moen gets his right
arm loose and throws one, Laperriere loses his balance and falls to the
ice, causing the linesmen to jump in. Other Penalties: Laperriere
      received an instigator and misconduct.

14. October, 4th, 2006 vs. Matthew Barnaby

Dallas Stars - 5:46 of the 2nd Period
Comments: The two come out of the penalty boxes and immediately
drop the gloves, shedding the helmets as well. They grab a hold of
each other and grapple, each one struggling to get an arm free.
Laperriere is the first to get loose and he lands three rights to the
side of Barnaby's head. Barnaby returns the favor with a similar
combination and the two go back and forth with quick rights to the
back and side of each other's heads. They grapple some more and
Laperriere lands three more rights to the back of Barnaby's head.
Barnaby answers with a right cross just before he shakes off his elbow
pad. The two wrestle around some more and Laperriere connects
with three more rights to the back of Barnaby's head. They then
wrestle up against the benches and throw short punches until the
linesmen grab them and end the fight.

15. November 7th, 2006 vs. Tim Jackman
Los Angeles Kings - 15:18 of the 1st Period
Comments: Behind the play, the two have a few words and decide
to drop the gloves. They immediately grab a hold of each other and
Jackman connects with a right to start things off. They go back and
forth with rights until Laperriere starts to shake his elbow pad off.
Jackman throws two more rights and Laperriere answers back by
switching hands and throwing two lefts. Jackman throws three rights
to the side of Laperriere's helmet and Laperriere is finally able to get
his elbow pad off. They each land a right cross and then wrestle
around until they fall to the ice. The linesmen come in shortly after.

16. November 11th, 2006 vs. Shea Weber
Nashville Predators - 9:47 of the 2nd Period
Comments: The two drop the gloves in the middle of a line change
for both teams and immediately tie up near the benches. Laperriere
gets Weber's jersey up and over his head just before throwing a
right. In a weird turn of events, Weber then gets Laperriere's jersey
over his head. Laperriere throws two lefts, but the linesmen are
quick to get in there and end the fight as neither fighter can see
      what they are doing.

17. November 13th, 2006 vs. Brad Winchester

Comments: Davison hits Tyler Arnason hard into the boards
from behind twice in a row causing Laperriere to charge at
Davison and drop his gloves. Laperriere grabs ahold of Davison,
who drops his mitts as well, but the two quickly fall to the ice and
the linesmen intervene. The two are given roughings and are sent to
the penalty box. As soon as they get out of the boxes, they drop
the gloves and grab ahold of each other at center ice. They
exchange a good amount of jersey-jabs until Davison throws two
rights while they spin around. Laperriere ties Davison up and
throws five short rights just before Davison returns fire with another
right. Davison throws an overhand right to the back of Laperriere's
helmet and then slams his opponent to the ice, causing the linesmen
to jump on top and grab them.

19. November 28th, 2006 vs. Darren McCarty
Calgary Flames - 6:29 of the 2nd Period
Comments: McCarty is bumped off the puck in the corner and
after the play moves away he spots Laperriere and the two drop
the gloves. They tie up quickly and get into an awkward position.
McCarty fans on a couple of short rights, and then switches hands,
but never throws a left as they just can't straighten out. They
eventually wrestle down to their knees, but get up before the
linesmen can break it up. As they rise Lappy starts throwing rights,
getting off a handful of them before they go down to their knees
again and the linesmen come in.

Vancouver Canucks - 1:56 of the 1st Period

grabbing ahold of one another. They start going toe-to-toe with
punches right off the bat: Laperriere going with rights and Rypien the
left. Rypien switches hands and lands three rights until Laperriere is
able to tie him up. Rypien throws a few body shots and throws
another left before he takes Laperriere down to the ice. The
linesmen come in and break things up. Rypien skates back to the
dressing room with a big cut on the bridge of his nose.

Comments: Phaneuf crushes Brett McLean into the boards and
Laperriere comes over and gets his stick up high on Phaneuf. Eric
Godard has his stick between them as Phaneuf immediately
drops his gloves and starts throwing punches at Lappy. Phaneuf
gets in a couple of rights before the two start to wrestle. Phaneuf
attempts to take Lappy's helmet off, but is unable to. Phaneuf then
throws a few more rights, with one inside shot possibly connecting.
They grapple and skate down the ice as Laperriere tries to get his
right arm free. Laperriere attempts a right that doesn't make is as
Phaneuf counters with two rights of his own. Laperriere then gets
off a left and takes Phaneuf's helmet off. Laperriere then lands a
short left as the linesmen come in. Other penalties: Laperriere
      received a cross checking.

25. January 15th, 2007 vs. Ryane Clowe
San Jose Sharks - 5:48 of the 1st Period
Comments: Clowe runs over Karlis Skrastins near the side
boards while Skrastins plays the puck up ice. That leads to
Laperriere taking a run at Clowe and the two quickly dropping
the gloves. They get tangeled up along the boards and Clowe strikes
first with a right cross. They wrestle around for a moment and
Laperriere gets loose, throwing two lefts with one connecting.
Clowe struggles to get an arm free but finally does and misses
with a right uppercut. Clowe connects with two short rights and
Laperriere does the same with lefts. Laperriere then grabs Clowe

center ice to wait for a response. They drop the gloves and grab
a hold of each other. They immediately start going toe-to-toe with
punches: Laperriere with rights, Cowan with lefts. Laperriere loses
his balance and falls to the ice with Cowan getting in a left as they
are going down. The linesmen are right there to grab them and end

and forth with rights to start the bout. Laperriere throws a right
