Scott Parker's Fight Card
1. December 4th, 1998 vs. Tony Twist
St. Louis Blues - 6:19 of the 1st Period
Comments: None.
2. December 5th, 1998 vs. Rudy Poeschek
St. Louis Blues - 4:58 of the 2nd Period
Comments: Other Penalties: Jeff Odgers received an
obstruction
holding.
3. December 17th, 1998 vs.
Chris McAllister
Vancouver Canucks - 3:53 of the 1st Period
Comments: The fight starts away from the play around
center ice.
Both guys slowly circle each other with a pretty good amount
of
distance between them. After the third spin McAllister tries
a straight
left that misses. Parker grips onto McAllister. Mac lands a
solid
whipping right and Parker throws a right that glances. They
both
start throwing toe-to-toe lefts with both of them burying
their heads
in their opponent's chest. Mac threw more and only landed
punches
to the back of the head. McAllister throws two lefts that
land and
Parker counters with a right. They grapple, then Mac throws a
right
that lands and he bulrushes Parker down. They get back up
quickly
and each throw some weak shots as Mac loses his helmet.
Parker
then lands a couple of nice short left uppercuts. They start
to trade
lefts and you can tell McAllister is tired. Parker lands a
heavy shot
and they seem to stop for a bit, then Parker pushes Mac down
to
the ice with him hunched over. Both skate away and Parker
seems
to be cut above the left eye, but doesn't seem as exhausted
as
McAllister.
4. December 21st, 1998 vs. Stu Grimson
The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim - 6:02 of the 1st Period
Comments: Other Penalties: Chris Drury and Wade Belak
received
misconducts.
5. December 31st, 1998 vs. Darren Langdon
New York Rangers - 00:12 of the 1st Period
Comments: The fight starts away from the play. Very
long square off,
maybe 25 seconds until Parker grabbed and missed a right.
Both try
some quick punches while going in a slow circle, but nothing
lands.
Lots of grappling and each is trying to get their arms loose.
Parker is
looking to get his right up high and Langdon is blocking it.
Parker puts
his left fist in Langdon's face as they still circle. Langdon
throws the
first right that lands and Parker counters with two rights
that miss.
Langdon lands a right, then Parker tries six rights, three
land. They were
slow moving punches, not really damaging. Langdon is holding
off
Parker's right and Parker gets Langdon's helmet off. Another
lock-out
and then Langdon lands a right. Parker misses a shot, then
Langdon
throws three quick ones, landing two. They grapple and
Langdon lands
a right. Parker counters with three rights, one lands square.
They
grapple some more and Langdon lands two rights. More
grappling.
Langdon lands a right and lets go with two lefts that causes
Parker to
cover up a bit. Langdon gets his left out and lands one.
Parker then
misses a right and Langdon lands a left. They grapple and
tire out.
Langdon skates away with a bloody lip.
6. January 6th, 1999 vs.
Peter Worrell
Florida Panthers - 12:28 of the 1st Period
Comments: Other Penalties: Parker received a roughing.
7. January 12th, 1999 vs. Bob Probert
Chicago Blackhawks - 12:53 of the 3rd Period
Comments: Parker gives Probert a little shove and
Probert returns
one. Parker drops them and Probert quickly responds with his
gloves
off. They have a nice square off and slowly circle, keeping
their stances
with both sets of hands up. Parker dips in and grabs first
and tries four
lefts with his hand in the jersey. Parker leaves himself wide
open for a
right and Probie lands one after he seems to feint a right.
Two more
solid rights, then Probert rips Parker's helmet off. Probie
then lands a
nice right that sends Parker down to a knee and another right
while he is
slumped down. After that Parker is trying to throw lefts over
the refs and
has to have his teammates cool him down. Other Penalties:
Parker
received a misconduct.
8. October 12th, 2000 vs. Donald Brashear
Vancouver Canucks - 6:53 of the 3rd Period
Comments: None.
9. October 18th, 2000 vs. Krzysztof Oliwa
Columbus Blue Jackets - 11:46 of the 3rd Period
Comments: The fight starts at center ice. First a very
long square off.
Both of them do a slow circle, moving their hands for about
15 seconds.
Oliwa grabs first. Parker misses a right, Oliwa misses a
right. Parker
then lands a weak right and Oliwa misses another right. Both
circle and
you can see Parker has his right fully extended. Both swing
around and
throw rights. Oliwa may have connected, but Parker nails him
with a right
that sends him down. Parker throws a right as he is going
down that
misses and is on top of Oliwa hunched over. Oliwa got his
jersey put
over his head on the way down and looks to be hurt.
10. October 20th, 2000 vs.
Peter Worrell
Florida Panthers - 7:25 of the 1st Period
Comments: Other Penalties: Parker received a
game misconduct.
11. November 7th, 2000 vs. Matt Johnson
Minnesota Wild - 16:18 of the 2nd Period
Comments: None.
12. November 9th, 2000 vs. Reed Low
St. Louis Blues - 9:25 of the 2nd Period
Comments: Other Penalties: Parker received a
holding.
13. December 3rd, 2000 vs. Dale Purinton
New York Rangers - 3:37 of the 2nd Period
Comments: None.
14. December 5th, 2000 vs. Jim McKenzie
New Jersey Devils - 18:13 of the 2nd Period
Comments: None.
15. December 8th, 2000 vs. Kyle Freadrich
Tampa Bay Lightning - 4:04 of the 1st Period
Comments: None.
16. December 23rd, 2000 vs. Donald Brashear
Vancouver Canucks - 2:20 of the 1st Period
Comments: None.
17. January 10th, 2001 vs. Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre
Columbus Blue Jackets - 16:50 of the 2nd Period
Comments: None.
18. January 21st, 2001 vs. Kevin Sawyer
The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim - 3:23 of the 1st Period
Comments: None.
19. January 26th, 2001 vs. Ryan VandenBussche
Chicago Blackhawks - 12:08 of the 1st Period
Comments: None.
20. March 8th, 2001 vs. Reed Low
St. Louis Blues - 7:07 of the 1st Period
Comments: None.
21. March 24th, 2001 vs. Andrei Nazarov
Boston Bruins - 7:11 of the 1st Period
Comments: None.
22. March 31st, 2001 vs. Stu Grimson
Los Angeles Kings - 11:37 of the 3rd Period
Comments: Other Penalties: Grimson received a
cross checking,
instigator, misconduct and game misconduct.
23. October 9th, 2001 vs. Donald Brashear
Vancouver Canucks - 2:16 of the 1st Period
Comments: Scrum is forming and these two break
free and drop the
gloves. Brashear is fighting in tight and lands a
few quick punches
while it appears Parker's couple miss. Parker
gets his right hand free
as Brashear "falls" (there is debate whether he
fell or took a dive).
With his right hand cocked back and ready to go,
Parker let the
linesmen come in since Brashear was down.
24. October 11th, 2001 vs. Georges Laraque
Edmonton Oilers - 2:55 of the 1st Period
Comments: They square off for awhile and it
looks like the refs may
step in, but Parker grabs on and starts with a
right, Laraque responds
with a left and Parker throws a lunging right in
which his momentum
makes him fall forward and they both lose their
balance. They quickly
return to their skates and Parker is trying to
get his right free. When he
does, he starts to throw some rights with some
landing pretty well and
Laraque throws a few lefts of his own, but none
look like they
connected. After wrestling a little more and both
throw a few more
punches, but they are to close in to do anything
so the refs break it up.
25. October 13th, 2001 vs. Ed Jovanovski
Vancouver Canucks - 13:09 of the 3rd Period
Comments: Other Penalties: Greg De Vries
received a roughing;
Parker an instigator, game misconduct; Jarkko
Ruutu a kneeing major,
game misconduct; and Todd Bertuzzi a game
misconduct.
26. October 25th, 2001 vs. Donald Brashear
Vancouver Canucks - 17:29 of the 2nd Period
Comments: Parker tried to get Brashear to drop
'em a couple of
minutes prior to this fight, but was denied by
Brashear. After a long
square off, Brashear grabbed a hold of Parker and
held on tight.
Parker and Brashear grappled a bit and Parker
fell down hard on
top of Brashear. The linesmen let the two get up
and continue
(thank you). Parker tried to throw a couple of
rights and got Brashear's
helmet mostly off. Parker threw a few rabbit
shots and then Brashear
threw a right and got Parker's helmet off. The
two got real close, and
then proceeded to exchange mostly rabbit shots.
The two then
proceed to have a slight conversation (Parker was
most likely telling
Brashear to throw 'em and not hold on). Brashear
seemed to nod and
slightly let up on his grip. Brashear lands a
decent right. Parker throws
a wild right to no avail as Brashear continued to
hold on tight. Parker
did manage to land a nice left in tight and a few
more rabbit shots
before going down with Brashear. Parker was the
aggressor in this
fight and both landed semi-decent shots. Crawford
was applauding
Brashear's performance after the fight.
27. November 18th, 2001 vs. Colin White
New Jersey Devils - 2:05 of the 2nd Period
Comments: Puck drops and White heads straight
for Parker, barely
giving him time to get his gloves off. A couple
of punches thrown by
Parker hits White's helmet. They start hugging
and Parker hits off
White's helmet. Still in hugging mode, Parker
throws a couple of
short rights. I almost thought he was fighting
Brashear.
28. November 24th, 2001 vs. Georges Laraque
Edmonton Oilers - 17:39 of the 2nd Period
Comments: Scrum in front of the Oilers net.
Parker and Laraque
get by themselves and start talking. A linesman
comes in and asks
them if they are going to go. Parker shakes the
glove and Laraque
agrees. The linesman backs off and the drop the
gloves. Mostly
wrestling. Few short punches to the side of the
head by each man.
After a bit, the linesman come in. Parker and
Laraque talk a bit more
and then go to the box.
29. December 3rd, 2001 vs. Zdeno Chara
Ottawa Senators - 7:55 of the 2nd Period
Comments: With a scrum in front of the Senators
net, Parker came
charging in and engages with Big Z. Parker threw
the first, missing it,
and Chara threw next and looked to connect. Chara,
with his long
reach keeping Parker just out of reach, connects
with one more.
Parker then gets loose and throws 3, landing on
one or two before
taking down Chara.
30. December 12th, 2001 vs. Jody Shelley
Columbus Blue Jackets - 2:38 of the 1st Period
Comments: Looong fair square off with Parker in
his boxing stance.
Parker grabs and it is on! Parker starts with a
heavy right, but
Shelley is falling backward and it misses.
Shelley comes back with
a right of his own and it's way off. Parker lands
a weak right to the
body. Both guys are free. Shelley goes with
another right but it isn't
close. Parker misses with another right. Shelley
lands a right to the
front of Parker's helmet and Parker responds with
a nothing right.
Rights are thrown in stereo; Shelley misses,
Parker doesn't, it's flush
to the head. Shelley comes back and lands a weak
right to the side of
Parker's helmet/face. It's back and forth as
Parker misses another
right. Shelley is just short on a right and so is
the Sheriff. Repeat last
sentence. Shelley is still firing and lands a
solid one to Parker's face.
Shelley's jersey is coming over his head just as
Parker lands a right
to the head. It doesn't matter though because
Shelley is still throwin
'em and just misses another right. Parker tries
an uppercut, but
nobody's home. Shelley could be in trouble with
that jersey over his
face. Both throw rights that miss. Parker lands a
hard right to the
back of Shelley's head, but is then clocked by a
heavy duty right!
Parker's head reeled from that one. Parker is
momentarily stunned
and misses badly with a right. A Parker uppercut
finds nothing, but
a follow-up right finds Shelley's head which is
still covered by the
jersey. The linesmen see that Shelley could be in
trouble now. As
Parker switches to the left, the linemen are in
and it is over.
31. January 21st, 2002 vs. Eric Boulton
Buffalo Sabres - 7:26 of the 1st Period
Comments: Boulton sticks Parker and Parker
sticks him right
back. During the face off they are staring each
other down and
when the puck drops, the gloves drop and the two
square off
forever, skating all over the ice with Parker in
the boxing stance and
Boulton shaking his tightly clenched fists. They
come together and
boom! Suddenly Parker goes down from a punch that
appears to
land on Parkers neck/chin...could be momentum
that knocked him
down though. Parker gets up and Boulton throws a
few more than
Parker gets a body shot in when the linesmen step
in.
32. January 28th, 2002 vs. Ryan Flinn
Los Angeles Kings - 2:40 of the 1st Period
Comments: The two square off and as they come
together Flinn
throws a right that lands. They then attempt to
go toe to toe, and
Flinn nails him with 4 rights in a row, the last
right landing sqare and
made Parker duck and gather himself. Parker then
comes back and
nails Flinn which causes him to go down to a
knee. As Flinn is down
Parker throws 2 punches, Flinn slips as he's
getting up, and the refs
come in, Both men are on their feet at the end.
Parker went right to
the dressing room to get cleaned up.
33. March 4th, 2002 vs. Colin White
New Jersey Devils - 3:15 of the 2nd Period
Comments: White looks to go after Parker, drops
em first, then
appears to look for a call from the refs. Parker
then catches him with
a shot to the body. As White turns away from the
Sheriff, he loses
his balance. Parker then throws 2 more, catching
him with one that
helps the falling White to the ice. Parker
attempted one more with
White down.
34. March 6th, 2002 vs. Jody Shelley
Columbus Blue Jackets - 4:48 of the 2nd Period
Comments: Second period comes, first shift on
the ice for each, they
drop the gloves when the puck drops, start
circling, Parker saying to
Jody, come on, come on!, Jody's all business, so
he does - dives in,
grabs the shirt collar with the left hand, swings
with the right that finds
air. Parker responds with a right that doesn't
happen, a soft right to
the shoulder. Jody tosses a solid right to the
ear OUCH! - then they
lock out. Parker tries a right uppercut that may
have hit some jersey.
Jody throws a soft right to the back of the head,
then throws a slap
to the face, then glances one off the helmet.
Parker is pushing back
with his left hand grip and glances a right off
the helmet. Now he's
free, both hands off Shelley, so Shelley moves in
tight and they
reconnect. He throws an air ball with a haymaker
right and then, in
what is becoming a patented move, Shelley snaps a
left uppercut off
Parker's chin with a fistful of jersey. Parker
responds with two
glancing rights off the helmet and a takedown.
35. March 6th, 2002 vs. Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre
Columbus Blue Jackets - 18:42 of the 3rd Period
Comments: Long and fair square off. Parker
looks aggressive,
Grand-Pierre comfortable. Jean-Luc dives in and
both guys grab on.
Hugging in tight. Grand-Pierre tries a right but
it doesn't get going.
Parker's right is cocked and ready. He tries an
uppercut that lands
in Jean-Luc's jersey. GP throws a right that is
way off target and
Parker responds with his own right that lands to
the shoulder. GP
then lands a heavy shot to the back of Parker and
immediately fires
off another right that goes over Parker's head.
Parker lands another
right to the shoulder. GP throws a weak right
which hits Parker in the
back again, no damage. Repeat last sentence.
Scott tries to muscle
Jean-Luc back a little. Once again GP lands with
a right to the back.
Parker tries to reposition himself which allows
GP to throw a right
which just misses Parker's face. This gets Parker
way off balance.
GP lands heavy to Parker's back yet again. Parker
straightens up
and both men fire rights. Parker misses and
Jean-Luc gets one into
Parker's nose. Scott appears stunned from that
one and turns to
punch again, but goes down.
36. March 14th, 2002 vs. Andy Sutton
Atlanta Thrashers - 15:30 of the 1st Period
Comments: The courting was longer than the
mating. After sizing
each other up for what seemed like hours Sutton
lands the first
punch. Parker responds with 3 of his own. Sutton
slips/dives to
the ground.
37. April 1st, 2002 vs. Nathan Perrott
Nashville Predators - 6:42 of the 3rd Period
Comments: They drop the gloves right after the
face-off. They
move in close and trade punches. Perrott now has
Parker's helmet
off. Perrott lands a good left to the side of
Parker's head. Perrott
then switches to the right as Parker moves his
head to get away
from the left. Nathan connects with a decent
right. They start
trading punches to the back of each one's head
with no damage
done. Finally they fall to the ice.
38. April 3rd, 2002 vs. Francis Lessard
Atlanta Thrashers - 11:10 of the 3rd Period
Comments: Lessard goes after Parker and throws
a left that missed.
Parker gets his gloves off and throws a left to
Lessard's head. Parker
drags a left across Lessard's nose. Lessard
throws a big left that
Parker avoids (maybe hit his neck). Parker throws
a left to top of
Lessard's helmet. A left by Lessard hits Parker's
helmet/temple
area. Parker hits Lessard with left in his ear
and then throws another
left that may have grazed Parker on the way down.
Parker throws a
big right uppercut appears to land and then a
whiff with a right. They
both throw simultaneously, both hitting neck.
Lessard lands a nice
left to Parker's mug. Parker then misses with
right. Lessard throws
two big time lefts - one on side of the head, the
other just missed.
Parker tries an uppercut that doesn't connect.
They both seem tired
and are missing wildly. Lessard throws two more
lefts - one hitting
the side of Parker's head. Parker throws two
nothing lefts, then they
grab on. They both try to get noggie shots in
while refs grab them.
39. November 17th, 2002 vs. Andrei Nazarov
Phoenix Coyotes - 10:59 of the 1st Period
Comments: Great fight here, not sure who
dropped them first, but
Parker grabs Nazarov and throws four strong
rights and Naz falls.
Parker keeps throwing the rights as Nazarov
struggles to get up.
Parker throws about four more good rights, one to
the nose, and
Nazarov never gets the first punch in.
40. November 25th, 2002 vs. Ryan VandenBussche
Chicago Blackhawks - 5:04 of the 2nd Period
Comments: Long square off, then Parker dives in
and grabs
Vandy with the left. A wild swing makes Vandy
off-balance and
Parker feeds him four or five rights square on
the left side of his
face. They lock each other out and the refs come
in and Vandy
takes two shots at Parker over the refs. Parker
throws another
one over the refs as they get pulled apart. Vandy
has a nasty cut
over the left eye. Front of his shirt was looking
pretty red. He
headed for the locker room for repairs.
41. December 6th, 2002 vs. Stephane Quintal
Montreal Canadiens - 2:05 of the 2nd Period
Comments: Parker goes to hit Quintal and gets
his hands a little
high. They bump again, and the gloves come off.
Quintal doesn't
waste time getting his off a few seconds before
Parker. Quintal
had a very nice grip on Parker's right for most
of the fight. He
held him at bay, but Parker did as well. Quintal
threw more to
begin with, then Parker ripped his helmet off,
hit him with a few
weak ones in the gut area, then switched to the
left for a few.
Right after he switched back to the right, he
nailed Quintal with
a pair (not back to back) of flush haymakers to
the face. The
second one causes Quintal to duck into Parker,
and the refs
come in, because both men are tired and Parker
has Quintal in
a semi-vulnerable spot.
42. February 15th, 2003 vs. Brad Brown
Minnesota Wild - 14:29 of the 2nd Period
Comments: Colorado goes up 3-0 and Brad Brown
looks to
get his team going by locking up with Scott
Parker. It almost
looked like they wouldn't get going, both tucked
in tight, but
then they opened up. Brad was looking for an open
punch while
Parker went to work on the body alternating
between rights,
lefts and body blows. Brad tried switching up
late, but didn't do
much there either.
43. March 13th, 2003 vs. Jody Shelley
Columbus Blue Jackets - 8:28 of the 1st Period
Comments: Parker and Shelley drop'em near the
boards at
center ice. A nice long spirited fight, lasted
roughly 45 seconds
to a minute. They go toe to toe and each land
solid rights.
Shelley lands the first couple bricks to the
face, Parker
counters with a bomb of his own. A handful, maybe
4 or 5 per
man, of soft rights are exchanged. Parker's
helmet starts getting
in his eyes, so he switches hands and rips it
off, while Shelley's
falls off in the havoc. They tie one another up
and Parker gets
the takedown.
44. March 22nd, 2003 vs.
Chris Simon
Chicago Blackhawks - 15:48 of the 2nd Period
Comments: Chicago just scored a goal and these
two guys
square off at center ice right off the face-off.
They skate down
into the Chicago zone and come together after
about 20 seconds
of circling. They grab on and start swinging.
Parker lands a left
and then hit Simon's helmet. Simon then rips
Parker's helmet
off and gets his left hand free and hit Parker
with a pretty good
punch. They then spin and swing, a few punches
landed by each,
but mostly they hit air. Simon has some trouble
getting a hold of
Parker, because of this he opens up. Parker takes
advantage of
this and start unleashing his left, landing a few
nice shots to
Simon's face, one punch that hits Simon's helmet
and seems to
break a piece of plastic on it that flies away.
Simon then loses his
balance and they go down, Simon seemed to have a
red mark
on the side of his eye. Pretty exciting scrap.
45. March 27th, 2003 vs. Ryan Flinn
Los Angeles Kings - 3:49 of the 1st Period
Comments: These two come together after a play
stoppage and
drop them. They immediately grab a hold of each
other's sweater.
Flinn throws two rights, missing both. Then he
throws two left jabs
while holding Parker's collar. Parker then
unleashes a right bomb
which connects, and Flinn pulls Parker down on
top of him.
46. March 29th, 2003 vs. Kelly Buchberger
Phoenix Coyotes - 20:00 of the 1st Period
Comments: Buchy was giving Forsberg a hard
time. Parker was
lined up across from him and after the puck is
dropped Buchy
dropped the gloves first, but fell right away.
Parker threw 3-4
mild punches that all hit Buchy in the arm or
shoulder before the
linesmen stepped in.
47. October 16th, 2007 vs. Eric Godard
Calgary Flames - 5:20 of the 2nd Period
Comments: None.
48. November 24th, 2007 vs. Eric Godard
Calgary Flames - 17:11 of the 2nd Period
Comments: Other Penalties: Godard received an
instigator,
misconduct and game misconduct; Parker a cross
checking major
and game misconduct.
49. December 19th, 2007 vs.
George Parros
Anaheim Ducks - 10:31 of the 2nd Period
Comments: None.
50. January 12th, 2008 vs. Tim Conboy
Carolina Hurricanes - 6:24 of the 1st Period
Comments: None.
51. February 26th, 2008 vs. Eric Godard
Calgary Flames - 6:46 of the 1st Period
Comments: None.
